Technology Meets Social Impact
Construction is not just about buildings—it’s about creating spaces that support human dignity and community resilience. By leveraging advanced technologies and innovative design principles, we can develop housing solutions that are sustainable, cost-effective, and responsive to diverse human needs.
Houses have been built relatively the same for the past few decades. Major changes in building practices have been slow to change. Building innovations are a key aspect in building houses more efficiently and cheaper. Factory built housing has been making headway in the past few years, along with 3-D printed houses.

Housing prices are soaring and the cost of rent is no better. People have been looking for alternative housing which is why the tiny house movement became so popular. Tiny homes can be a good alternative but they have some drawbacks:
- it can be difficult to find a place to park them
- the cost has been increasing
- they are not all inspected for safety and proper building
- limited floor plans

Some alternatives to these tiny homes are shipping container homes and factory-built homes. One company that is gaining traction is Boxabl, with their flagship home, the Casita. It is 375 sq. ft. after it is unfolded and assembled on-site. Some of its features include:
- tall ceilings, 9′ 6″
- full-size kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, sink, cabinets)
- washer/dryer hook-ups
- ADA compliant
- can be used as an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with multiple foundational supports
- bug, mildew, fire, water, and wind resistant
- affordable
